Alton Towers has made further changes to its new-for-2012 dark ride Nemesis Sub-Terra, in an attempt to reverse negative feedback from guests.
Following closure during last week, the attraction re-opened at the weekend featuring a new ‘scare maze’ section including additional live actors.
The exit elevators of the experience now open their doors into darkness and actors playing the roles of ‘decontamination’ staff greet guests via torchlight.
Guests then make their way through a maze featuring strobe lighting, air cannons and banging sound effects.
Further minor adjustments have been made to the effects earlier in the experience, which slightly prolong the time spent within the dark ride.
Meanwhile, the Alton Towers earlier this week decided to reverse an “experiment” involving the off-peak closure of the Skyride cable car system.
