Chessington World of Adventures was closed on Monday due to a burst water main which affected the south west London area.
The Kingston upon Thames theme park said that it that it would allow guests to re-book for another date at no cost under its “Return Promise” scheme.
“Thank you to our guests for your patience and understanding. Guests affected by today’s closure will be covered by ourĀ Return Promise,” the park said.
A spokesperson for Thames Water was quoted by the BBC as saying: “We’re sorry to customers in the Chessington area who are currently without water, and to anyone whose plans to visit have been affected following today’s outage.”
The closure represents lost revenue on a peak trading day during the current school summer holidays.
The water supply was restored on Monday afternoon, and Chessington has confirmed that it will reopen as normal on Tuesday.
