Drayton Manor is heading towards a record year for visitor numbers as it nears 1.2 million guests.
The park records attendances from March to March each year, and the 2011-2012 period is will be the best in the park’s 60-year history.
Approximately 14,000 people have stayed in the park’s new hotel, completed last August at a cost of £19 million.
Manager Colin Bryan told the Birmingham Mail: “The hotel has transformed Drayton from a regional theme park into a national and international theme park,”
Despite the 10% increase in visitors, no major new attraction has been announced for the 2012 season.
