Alton Towers has confirmed that the Nemesis rollercoaster will be re-launched under the Nemesis Reborn name.
The 1994-built ride has had large-scale track and support replacement during the past 15 months.
It is expected to re-open to the public along with the rest of Alton Towers on 16 March.
Originally built by Bolliger & Mabillard, Nemesis’ re-build is the largest scale such event in the era of modern rollercoasters.
Alton Towers officially announced Nemesis Reborn on Monday, and utilised an adapted version of the ride’s original logo.
The name was widely expected after operators Merlin Entertainments filed a trademark application last year.
Veteran concept designer John Wardley, 73, who devised the original ride, is understood to have consulted on the re-build in a supporting role.
