Thorpe Park launched its new maze attraction based on the reality TV series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! late last month.
It attempts to recreate the infamous ‘Bush Tucker Trials’ contestants endure during their stint in the Australian jungle.
The reaction from the media and the public has been somewhat mixed so far. Below we take a look at some of the verdicts issued.
“Amusing but perhaps slightly over-hyped in the lead up to the opening – and be prepared for overenthusiastic actors.” – Get Surrey, online newspaper
“Disappointing and not a touch as convincing and all-consuming as the terrifying Saw maze. If you have one day to visit the park and it’s packed, spend your time queueing for any of the other rides instead.” – Charlotte Tobitt, local blogger
“The perfect attraction to visit for active parents with tweens, or a group of friends who want a lower octane thrill in between roller coasters.” – I Like It A Lot, lifestyle and culture magazine
“Has all the elements of a scare attraction but with a more family theme.” – ScareTOUR, scare attraction enthusiasts
“A well thought out attraction, well executed and very entertaining. I can’t wait to go back.” – London Bird Lucy, blogger
“Not worth the wait.” – Gary C on TripAdvisor
