The Submission flat ride will not return to Alton Towers’ lineup of attractions for the 2014 season.
The TowersStreet website has quoted the theme park as stating the ride’s removal forms part of its “long term plans”.
No new attraction is understood to be replacing the ride, which was located within the X Sector area of the park.
Installed in 2001, Submission has operated with only 50% capacity in recent years, with its popularity continuing to diminish.
