Thorpe Park is to offer ‘backstage tours’ and rollercoaster lift hill walks as part of a new option to ‘VIP your day’ in 2014.
The backstage tour package features an engineer-accompanied guided tour of the Stealth rollercoaster’s launch mechanism.
Guests are also able to climb one of the Surrey theme park’s rollercoaster lift hills, where views “stretch to the Wembley Arch and Windsor Castle on a clear day”.
Both packages cost £50 per person, and can be booked on Thorpe Park’s website.
An ‘Ultimate VIP Experience’ will also be offered for £454.99 and includes park entry, unlimited Fastrack and dining, a personal host, ride photographs, priority parking, belongings storage, backstage tour and lift hill walk.
The terms and conditions for all packages state that possession of a VIP ticket “does not guarantee immediate entry to THORPE PARK during peak times.”
