Alton Towers has increased its gate admission price by £1.50 to £43.50, it has emerged.
The 3.5% rise represents the second increase in admission this year, with a £1.20 (2.9%) hike applied at the start of this season.
Thorpe Park, which like Alton Towers is operated by Merlin Entertainments, is expected to follow the move imminently.
Both parks have recently been pushing online ticket sales, which offer savings when booked in advance.
Merlin also release a large number of ‘2 for 1’ entry vouchers in partnership with selected retailers for their attractions throughout the year.
