The Blackpool Tower Eye observation deck and 4D cinema have opened to the public on schedule today.
The viewing platform is largely made from super strength glass, including the floor, walls and ceiling.
The 4D cinema pre-show will incorporate a short 3D film about Blackpool, with the ‘fourth dimension’ coming in the form of sun, wind, sea spray and donkey smell effects.
Adult entry prices are £12 on the day or £9 if booked in advance online.
Merlin Entertainments’ multi-million pound development of the tower is now complete, with the Merlin Annual Pass allowing entry to all of their attractions at the resort.
