A ride at a Cambridgeshire funfair collapsed on Friday evening, injuring 11 people.
One man was taken to hospital with a suspected fractured ankle following the accident, according to the Cambridge News.
A further ten people were seen by paramedics attending the St Neots fairground where the incident occurred at approximately 9:25pm.
14 others were on the ride at the time, but did not required medical attention.
This website understands that the attraction involved was a type of Round Up flat ride – on which centrifugal forces hold standing riders in place as a circular module spins and is elevated on its side.
The BBC quoted an eye witness and saying “I heard a loud bang and the ride fell to the ground.”
The corporation said that the ride’s owners declined to comment.
The Health and Safety Executive has taken control of the ride and will begin an investigation.
