The Tour de France bicycle race will pass Lightwater Valley when it makes a visit to Britain in 2014.
The route was revealed to pass the entrance to Lightwater Valley in North Stainley, North Yorkshire on Thursday.
It will take place on Saturday 5 July next year, as competitors take the 190km trek from Leeds to Harrogate.
Welcome to Yorkshire’s Gary Verity said: “The routes of the Grand Depart will showcase some of Yorkshire’s iconic cycling climbs and the county’s stunning land and cityscapes.
“The peloton will be technically tested as they tackle some challenging terrain in what are sure to be two exhilarating days of racing in the county.”
The accompanying road closures could cause some disruption to Lightwater Valley’s operations.
