A number of theme parks have reached maximum guest capacity during an extremely busy Bank Holiday Sunday.
Legoland, Chessington World of Adventures and Drayton Manor have all closed their gates to guests after becoming full by the early afternoon.
Queues for some rides at Thorpe Park and Flamingo Land have also exceeded two hours.
Capacity at most theme parks is set with guest experience and traffic congestion in mind, and is not dictated by health and safety regulations as is sometimes incorrectly believed.
