Seven people were treated for minor injuries following a rollercoaster crash on Clacton Pier on Sunday evening.
The East Anglian Daily Times newspaper reported that the incident occurred at 8:30pm on the Stella’s Revenge ride.
The park said that the ride has now closed and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) had been notified.
“We have informed all the relevant authorities and intend to work with them to understand what the cause of the problem was,” a statement read.
“We have spoken to the paramedics and they have confirmed that there were seven minor injuries, none of which required hospitalisation.
“These are all the details we have at present and will be able to comment further after the investigation.”
The rollercoaster arrived at the Essex pier in 2011, after previously being located at Barry Island Pleasure Park under the name of Viper.
