Merlin Entertainments’ new chief executive Scott O’Neil has introduced himself to the company’s “most loyal” annual pass holders.
In an email sent on Thursday evening, O’Neil said that holders of Merlin’s annual passes were the company’s “most loyal fans”.
“I wanted to reach out directly to you, our valued annual pass holders,” he said.
“Thank you for being such committed and passionate supporters of Merlin and our attractions.
“I am looking forward to getting to know your community more and hopefully meeting some of you in our attractions one day soon.”
O’Neil took over from the retiring Nick Varney last month. The new CEO’s background is primarily in American sports.
In 2011, Varney revealed that Merlin had 200,00 holders of its annual passes in the UK. No figures have since been released publicly.
Meanwhile, this week it was confirmed that will Merlin apply for permission to keep the London Eye in its current position beyond the current 2028 deadline set by planning conditions.
