Staff from Mack Rides have revealed that nine potential layouts were prepared during planning of the Hyperia rollercoaster.
The 236-foot Thorpe Park ride was discussed in a recent Q&A session hosted by the Attractions Source enthusiast group.
Engineers Stephan Alt and Maurice Kremer revealed that the first layout was drafted in September 2020.
The final layout was selected by Merlin Entertainments in April the following year.
Hyperia, the UK’s tallest rollercoaster, opened on 24 May this year.
It is the first new rollercoaster added to Thorpe Park since the Swarm in 2012.
