Alton Towers will be the site of a 10 km and half-marathon running event this November.
Organised by RunThrough, the event will take place on Saturday 14 November, the weekend after the Staffordshire theme park’s main season ends.
Alton Towers appears to have been been hired specifically for the event, with all entrants also receiving access to the rides during the day.
The 10 km run costs £34 to enter, while the half-marathon fee is £38. There are 7,500 places available.
Entrants will receive a themed medal, as well as race photos and chip-timed results.
The running route traverses much of the Alton Towers, including many of the various themed areas of the park.
