Fireworks last featured at Thorpe Park in 2008
Thorpe Park will run events featuring fireworks at the end of this season, for the first time in three years.
According to the park’s Facebook page, the ‘Blows It Up’ events will take place on the weekend of 5 and 6 November, the final days of the park’s 2011 season.
The post also calls for guests to suggest ideas for celebrity effigies which will presumably be burned during the nights.
ThorpePark.com advises that the opening dates on 4-6 November will be 10am to 8pm, which suggests that the event may actually run for three days.
Previous firework events were called ‘Thorpe Blast’ and ended in 2008.
