Thorpe Park is bringing back its annual pass holder preview day after a two-year absence.
Owners of the Merlin and Thorpe Park annual passes will have exclusive access to the park on 10 March.
Unlike similar events held at the park in recent years, pass holders will not be able to bring along guests without an annual pass.
The event will provide the first opportunity to ride The Swarm rollercoaster following its re-fit with backwards-facing seats on the rear rows.
The pass holder day in 2011 received widespread criticism when the park reached its 14,000 capacity, which was three times the number of guests reportedly expected.
Following a large number of complaints and the issuing of free tickets in compensation, the event did not return in 2012.
Tickets for this year’s event – which will run from 10am to 5pm – must be booked in advance at this location.
A 35% discount will be available for those choosing to add another 12 months to their current Merlin Annual Pass, which represents a further 5% saving than the usual renewal fee.
