The London Eye will be open until midnight during the Olympic Games being held in the capital this summer.
The 32-capsule ferris wheel will operate for the prolonged stints daily between 27 July and 12 August.
Foreign tourist numbers visiting the capital are expected to be 13% higher than last summer because of the Games.
The news comes despite claims earlier this year from the Eye’s operator, Merlin Entertainments, that the Olympics were unlikely to have a significant positive effect on its London attractions.
