Weymouth Eye admission prices revealed

Admission prices for the new Weymouth Eye observation tower have been revealed by operator Merlin Entertainments.

The Dorset Echo newspaper reports that on-the-day admission will be £8 or £11 for priority boarding.

These charges fall to £7.20 and £9 when pre-booking online.

Due to open in time for the sailing events at the Summer Olympic games, the tower will feature a rotating gondola that will rise to almost 50 metres in the air.

A ‘flight’ will last approximately ten minutes, lengthening during off-peak periods, and feature commentary regarding Weymouth’s Jurassic Coast from staff on board.

In has previously been stated by owners that the Eye will be accessible under the Merlin Annual Pass once it opens in July.
