Lo-Q working on queuing app for smartphones

Theme park queue-jumping firm Lo-Q is currently working on an application that will enable guests to use their systems on mobile phones.

The British company currently offers virtual queuing systems through purpose-made handheld devices at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Legoland Windsor, among other attractions.

Guests have to pay a deposit for the keyring-size devices, known as Q-Bots, as well as credits to use the system.

The new format will first be trialled at the London Eye observation wheel and an unnamed theme park later this year.
