Paultons Park to surpass one million visitors

Paultons Park is set to break the one million visitor mark for the first time in its history this year.

The park is still operating in a limited fashion in the run up to Christmas and the remaining weekends in December are expected to edge visitor numbers into seven figures.

The introduction of the child-orientated Peppa Pig World and increased marketing activity is responsible for much of the upsurge in guest numbers.

In recent years the park has typically attracted around half a million visitors each season.

Digital marketing executive Rob Lee told Ride Rater: “It is a great testament to the continual hard work by everyone at Paultons and the pride we all have in the park.”

The park was recently named as favourite UK theme park by Which? magazine readers and now joins a list of around a dozen parks attracting seven-figure visitor numbers.

“Paultons is still a family-owned business so to be named as one of the top attractions in the UK by Which? Travel and to have reached ‘premier league’ of theme parks is something we are rightly proud of,” Lee added.

Meanwhile, the park is currently working on a new attraction for the 2012 season.

The project is being dubbed There’s No Smoke Without Fire with a viral website also recently launched, but no other details have yet been released.
