Drayton Manor has confirmed that its new Intimin rollercoaster Gold Rush will open on 26 July.
The Lift & Launch model ride is described as the intermediate ‘family thrill’ level of intensity by the Liechtenstein manufacturers.
Themed to the Wild West, Gold Rush will will be located in the new Frontier Falls area of Drayton Manor.
It will have a 1-metre (3.4-foot) height restriction, which the Tamworth theme park says is “perfect for thrill-seeking youngsters”.
The Gold Rush name for the rollercoaster was revealed last week.
It will feature two multi-directional settings, a claimed world-first for a rollercoaster.
Gold Rush will also feature a backwards launch.
The ride stretches across the plot of the former Apocalypse drop tower, which was removed in 2022.
