Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), will be leaving the Alton Towers Resort when the current contract between the two parties expires at the end of this season.
The park is currently home to a single restaurant located in the X Sector, adjacent to the Oblivion rollercoaster.
KFC staff are being offered positions at the new in-house equivelent opening for the 2012 season.
The new restaurant, located on the existing KFC site, will be called The Fried Chicken Co.
An example of the brand, devised by Merlin Entertainments, can be found at their Chessington World of Adventures park, close to the Rameses Revenge flat ride.
