Blackpool Pleasure Beach has announced a loss of £764,000 for the financial year ending 3 April 2011.
The period covers the vast majority of the park’s 2010 season, which saw no new major attraction added to the Lancashire amusement park’s lineup.
A turnover of £23.3 million was recorded for the year, but operating costs were just above this.
In the previous twelve months, the park reported a £1 million profit – and the park’s owners expect the resort to return to profit next year.
The introduction of the new Nickelodeon Land and its accompanying rides, as well as good weather and a number of promotions, have boosted Pleasure Beach’s attendance this season.
