Barry’s Big Dipper rollercoaster has left Curry’s Fun Park in Portrush, Northern Ireland, after 20 years of operation.

A Zyklon / ZL42 model from Italian manufacturers Pinfari, the ride had operated at the Antrim amusement park since 2002.

It was initially known as Looping Star, and had not operated during 2020 and 2021 while the Barry’s Amusements park was up for sale amid COVID-19 restrictions.

The Big Dipper ran during the 2022 season, but began being dismantled by the new Curry owners in January this year.

The only inverting rollercoaster in Northern Ireland, it is not known whether the ride is being scrapped or relocated.

The Barry’s Amusements park was taken over by the Curry family in 2022.
