Blackgang Chine has replaced the Cliffhanger rollecoaster with a 59-foot pendulum swing ride called Extinction.
The 360-degree rotating ride has been brought in after the former Cliffhanger ride closed in October last year.
The 16-seat Extinction will open along with the rest of the Isle of Wight amusement park on 25 March this year.
It will be a 360-degree version of the Discovery model of gyro-style flat ride from Italian manufacturuers Zamperla.
Blackgang Chine said that said the cliff-edge ride offered “unparalleled views” across the English Channel which they could enjoy in “the brief moments between screaming”.
The park is celebrating its 180th anniversary in 2023, laying claim to being the UK’s oldest amusement park.
