Merlin Entertainments is aligning its legacy Standard and Premium memberships with current Silver and Gold products.
Effective 1 January next year, the Standard and Premium monthly memberships will have exclusion dates consistent with Merlin’s Gold memberships and annual passes.
It means that the Standard and Premium memberships – no longer available to new customers – will no longer be able to visit Merlin’s UK attractions on certain peak dates.
The monthly costs will remain the same in 2023, currently at £10.99 per month for Premium memberships.
Merlin said the cost from 2024 will be advised in the new year, although this is widely expected to align with the current Gold membership cost, currently £14.99.
The number of customers still on the withdrawn Standard and Premium memberships is not known but is likely to be significant given the latest moves.
Merlin recently launched a new booking hub, initially open to holders of its Platinum memberships and annual passes.
