Blackpool Pleasure beach has confirmed that it will open on 18 March next year, more than a month later than usual.
The park has generally opened in early February each season and has attempted to have all rides available by this time.
Although no reason has been given for 2023’s delayed start, the Lancashire amusement park is understood to have seen reduced guest numbers in 2022.
The park’s maximum advance entry price has recently been reduced to £40, after being as high as £46 for much of this season.
2023 will see the Pleasure Beach’s maximum advance entry price set at £39, as the park looks to attract more guests.
Admission currently remains £46 when purchased on the day and – despite considerable controversy – no cheaper entry option for those not wanting to use rides is offered.
The Valhalla water ride could finally reopen next year following repeated delays to ongoing refurbishment works.
