Seven themed areas have been announced for the proposed London Resort theme park, ahead of public unveiling of plans.
A public consultation will open on the long-running project – to be located on the Swanscombe Peninsula in Kent – later this this year.
The themed areas of the resort will be named as follows:
- High Street
- The Isles
- The Jungle
- The Kingdom
- Starport
- The Studio

London Resort chief executive PY Gerbeau said: “The team have been immense, working incredibly hard during these awful times.”
“I joined just under a year ago and we are always being asked to hurry up. Well, I am happy to tell you we have made strong progress and these reports are hugely important.
“This is a significant step in transforming an amazing and ambitious dream into reality.”
Planners are in discussions with the government over how the public can be effectively consulted using digital and online methods amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision on whether or not the project can proceed will be taken by the UK central government rather than the local authorities, due to the scale of the proposal.
