Blackpool Pleasure Beach has procured an Intamin Gyro Swing flat ride, recently-filed documents suggest.
The Lancashire amusement park filed a registration of a charge with Companies House on Tuesday.
In an apparent loan agreement with NatWest bank, the document states that the asset will be an “Intamin Gyroswing located at Blackpool Pleasure Beach”.
It is currently unknown when the ride will open, or where at the Pleasure Beach it will be located.
Back in March, the park confirmed that the Grand Prix ride had been closed to make way for new developments.
Highly regarded
Chief executive Amanda Thompson said that the park was “planning a new attraction”.
“Don’t ask me any more questions about this, I will tell you when I have made the decision,” she said in an X post.
Intamin offers Gyro Swings in 32-seater (23-metre swing height) and 40-seater (42-metre swing height) variants.
Drayton Manor’s Maelstrom is the only example of the Gyro Swing operating in the UK.
That ride is the smaller variant, but remains highly regarded for its ride experience.
