Merlin Entertainments has extended the range of dates available to holders of its entry-level ‘Discovery’ annual pass.
At its launch last year, the £89 off-peak version of the company’s UK annual pass allowed for 192 days of entry across the year.
The total number of dates accessible in 2022 will rise by 16 days to 208 in total. The changes mean the entirety of March is now available, including weekends.
At least one Sunday is also now accessible across all months, except April and August, with the latter remaining completely off-limits to Discovery pass-holders.
However, February, April and October have all seen cuts to their accessible days by 3, 5 and 1 days respectively.
The changes have seen 8 days of access added to March, with other months seeing increases including May (5 days), June (4 days) and July (5 days).
The opening up of the Discovery Pass’ calendar is likely to be seen as the latest step Merlin Entertainments’ widely-understood objective of more broadly distributing annual pass-holder visits across attractions’ operating calendars.
