Merlin re-launching park-specific annual passes

Vampire, Chessington World of Adventures

Merlin Entertainments is re-launching its theme park-specific annual passes after a period of withdrawal.

‘Gold’ passes are now available for purchase at Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland Windsor for £119.

A similarly-named pass is being advertised at Alton Towers, but is not yet available to purchase online.

Thorpe Park’s annual pass remains listed as ‘sold out’ on the Surrey attractions website, but is expected to be re-launched imminently.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and associated closures and restrictions, Merlin had moved towards a ‘season pass’ model which allowed for entry up to the end of the season in which it was purchased only.

The re-launch of annual passes sees a re-alignment with the Merlin Annual Pass, also re-launched last week, and is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

The park-specific annual passes offer similar benefits to the Gold Merlin Annual Pass, such as free parking and food and retain discounts.

Holders of all types of annual pass are required to pre-book admission prior to arrival – a policy change introduced during COVID-19 capacity restrictions, and remains in effect.
