Alton Towers will host Oktoberfest-themed weekends as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations this year.
The German beer festival theme will see a selection of rides and attractions open until late.
The event will take place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 18 September and 4 October this year.
Describing the event, Alton Towers said its version of Oktoberfest had been “designed to bring together families and friends”.
The original Oktoberfest in Germany is famous for its traditional beer and food outlets, along with entertainment tents and fairground rides.
Alton Towers said: “Whilst alcohol will be available in some of the family-style pop-up food and drink venues, the event has been created with a family-friendly vibe in mind which will be reflected in how the event is run.”
Access to the event will be included in the admission price for the theme park on that day. Season and Annual passes will also be accepted for entry.
Alton Towers began its modern theme park era with the arrival of the Corkscrew rollercoaster in 1980, and is therefore recognising this year as its 40th anniversary with a number of special events.
