Drayton Manor is dismantling the G Force rollercoaster, which has stood closed since 2018.
Engineering consultants ASP, which was involved in the ride’s construction, yesterday posted photographs showing it at work with the disassembly.
G Force closed in October 2018, with Drayton Manor citing maintenance issues. It was however widely expected not to re-open.
Known for its inverted lift and across-the-lap restraints, the Maurer Söhne-built rollercoaster was opened at the Staffordshire park in 2005.

It is not known if the ride has been purchased by another theme park or ride operator at this time.
Meanwhile, dozens of items from the former Pirate Adventure dark ride are among the items being sold off in an auction being held at Drayton Manor this Sunday.
