The Terror of the Towers scare maze is to return to Alton Towers’ Halloween Scarefest event this year.
Originally the showpiece attraction of the event since 2002, the walkthrough maze did not form part of the Scarefest lineup last year.
It will however return this year in the form of The Attic: Terror of the Towers.
Previous incarnations of the maze have featured vampire-themed actors inhabiting the famous towers ruins at the Staffordshire theme park.
The Attic will feature a character known as ‘the Governess’ and is set in the Edwardian era.
Entrance to the maze will cost £8 per person on top of theme park admission during this year’s Scarefest, which begins on 5 October.
Other attractions returning for this year’s event include:
- The Alton Towers Dungeon (£8.50)
- Project 42 (part of £20 combination ticket)
- Sub Species – The End Games (part of £20 combination ticket)
- Altonville Mine Tours (part of £20 combination ticket)
