Lightwater Valley has been sold to attractions operator Livingstone Leisure, for an undisclosed amount.
Jersey-based Bell Investments acquired the park in 2001, and in recent years have had Heritage GB manage its operations.
Heritage GB is no longer managing the North Yorkshire park.
New owner Livingstone Leisure was founded by Ian Cunningham, a former operations director at the Eden Project.
He said: “We are delighted to be able to add such a high profile and established theme park in to our existing leisure portfolio.
“It is a great attraction, with a great team and we’re looking forward to working with them to build on its excellent reputation.”
Cunningham added that his company was committed to “forging stronger links with the local economy and community”.
