M&Ds removes Tsunami rollercoaster

M&D's Tsunami rollercoaster accident

M&Ds theme park has removed the Tsunami rollercoaster, nine months after an accident which injured 10 people.

A spokesperson for the Scottish attraction confirmed that the ride would not be returning.

One of the ride’s trains derailed on 26 June last year, and in the aftermath the park said that the ride would reopen.

One of the injured suffered broken knees, a dislocated shoulder, a head injury and other suspected fractures.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) had impounded the ride as part of its investigation, which is ongoing.
