Mumbo Jumbo at Flamingo Land is set to lose its record of having the world’s steepest drop on a rollercoaster.
A new ride called Takabisha will open at the Fuji-Q Highland Amusement Park in Japan on 16 July.
It will feature a 121° drop, beating the current record of 112° by some nine points.
Takabisha, a custom Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter, will also smash the record of 110° for the steepest free fall drop (Mumbo Jumbo’s drop is controlled with a trim brake) from Saw: The Ride at Thorpe Park.
The new rollercoaster will cost 1,000 yen (around £7.50) to ride, on top of Fuji-Q Highland’s admission fee.
