Access to Alton Towers with annual passes during the park’s two forthcoming concerts will now be permitted, in a u-turn of policy.
It was previously announced that annual pass holders would not be allowed to enter the park for free on the day of Alton Towers Live (19 June) and the Black Eyed Peas concert (6 July).
Amid speculation of poor ticket sales for the Black Eyed Peas performance, 1,000 concert-only tickets priced at £39 were released by the park earlier this week.
The move has drawn criticism from annual pass holders who had previously had to purchase park and concert entry tickets at £62, but Alton Towers are offering partial refunds to annual pass holders who may have bought such tickets.
