Drayton Manor has outlined details of its plans for development in the next ten years, as part of a recent planning application.
Documents submitted to the local authorities in support of improved access to the park reveal that it hopes to increase ride capacity from 12,000 per hour to 15,000 per hour.
The Tamworth theme park currently sees considerable traffic congestion in the vicinity during the peak summer season.
The documents state that the park plans the “gradual replacement of older, less capacity rides”, which it said would create 50 jobs over the next five years.
Although the report did not allude to it, the park is widely expected to install a large rollercoaster as part of those plans.
