A chair-o-plane carousel ride collapsed at a funfair in Somerset last month, it has emerged.
A number of children were reportedly injured by the incident, which was reported in the local media initially.
The swinging chair-type ride failed on 13 September, according to the Central Somerset Gazette newspaper.
Three children were reported as being injured, with one suffering “severe bruising”, another a head injury.
An adult male was injured when he held up the ride’s structure in order to free the children on board, it was claimed.
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said: “We have made initial inquires and have started an investigation into the incident.”
