Thorpe Park is installing a free-use WiFi network, following a successful rollout at Alton Towers and the London Eye.
It will be operated by The Cloud company, whose managing director Vince Russel said that demand for WiFi was constantly increasing.
“This is especially true of venues such as theme parks and retail outlets where mobile users want to share their experiences and interact with friends as they go about their day.” he said.
The theme park’s operator Merlin Entertainments has previously launched smartphone apps for its attractions to widen the reach of promotional and marketing campaigns.
The project is currently in a testing phase and is expected to be officially launched prior to the peak summer period.
