Three southern white rhinoceros have arrived at Chessington World of Adventures before forming part of a new attraction next year.
They are named Kanty, Dozer and Gyasi and have arrived from zoos in France, the Netherlands and Portugal respectively.
Zufari: Ride Into Africa will open on 16 March next year and is expected to generate hundreds of thousands of additional admissions to Chessington in 2013.
Diesel-powdered vehicles will take guests around paddocks featuring the rhinoceros as well as other animals of African origin, such as giraffes.
Pools of water and caverns will form part of each vehicle’s journey, in what is expected to be a heavily-themed investment at the Surrey theme park.
