Thorpe Park is to install a temporary-style hotel from a specialist provider next year.
58 rooms sleeping up to four people will be housed within shipping container-style blocks known as The Crash Pad.
Snoozebox, which launched at the British Grand Prix last year, typically offers transportable accommodation blocks to events such as festivals.
Planning permission was obtained on Friday after documents were submitted to the council earlier this year.
Conditions of the council’s approval of the development include its removal after three years and the pre-submission of an appropriate guest transport plan.
The new accommodation is expected to be ready for the start of the park’s 2013 season in March.
Thorpe Park manager Mark Vallis said: “We are excited at the next stage of the Park’s development – our transformation into a short break destination.”
