Alton Towers fansite TowersTimes is planning to capture and publish images of the SW7 construction site via helicopter.
The website’s owner has commissioned a private company to fly over the park during the rollercoaster’s construction in the closed season.
SW7, standing for Secret Weapon Seven, is to open at Alton Towers on 16 March next year – the first day of its 2013 season.
The ride is being constructed by German manufacturers Gerstlauer, with the first pieces of track arriving at the park yesterday.
