Alton Towers has unveiled a gold-coloured car on a rollercoaster train to commemorate the forthcoming wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The publicity stunt was announced earlier today and featured lookalikes of the couple on board a resprayed Thirteen car (pictured).
It is understood that a shell fitted to the front car (not the entire train of five cars) has been painted gold and was attached for the press release only.
The shell has since been removed and does not feature during the park’s normal operating day.
