Girl involved in fall from Chessington queue line

A four-year-old girl has been taken to hospital after falling whilst queuing for the Tomb Blaster dark ride at Chessington World of Adventures.

The girl suffered head injuries in the incident, which occurred at approximately 1pm yesterday afternoon.

She was reportedly in the queue line – which features stairs and numerous elevated points – and had not yet boarded the ride.

The Daily Mail newspaper quoted a London Ambulance Service spokesman as saying: “We were called to reports of a young girl who had fallen from a height.

“Our staff treated a four-year-old girl for a head injury and took her as a priority to St Georges Hospital, Tooting.”

A Chessington World of Adventures spokesman said that the girl was taken to hospital in a “conscious state”.

Independent government body the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has begun a preliminary investigation into the incident.

No further details regarding the girl’s condition have been released at this stage.
