The first Madame Tussauds attraction in the UK outside of London has today opened in Blackpool.
Waxwork figures including those of entertainer Bruce Forsyth, footballer David Beckham and singer Susan Boyle are among the exhibits at the Merlin Entertainments-owned attraction based at the resort’s famous tower.
Tickets for admission for visits between today and 8 May can be pruchased online for £7.20.
Madame Tussauds Blackpool, which replaces the previous waxwork museum Louis Tussaids, is part of a £10 million investment programme for the tower by Merlin.
Inconjunction with the local council, Merlin will be opening the Blackpool Tower Eye observation platform and the Blackpool Tower Dungeon in September.
The attractions will become a part of the Merlin Annual Pass, subject to terms and conditions.
