Pleasure Beach Resort’s veteran rolleroaster Revolution is to receive a makeover described by the park as “going industrial” this year.
Images of artist impressions were today released on the park’s Facebook page, and show much of the ride’s structure to be painted in dark grey, with the track being white.
The rollercoaster was previously sponsored by the soft drink Irn-Bru, and was painted orange and blue, until the sponsorship deal expired at the end of last year.
The Arrow Dynamics-built ride was the Europe’s first fully-inverting rollercoaster when it opened at Blackpool in 1979.
It famously featured on a 1980 episode of the television series Jim’ll Fix It, when boys from the Cub Scouts attempted to eat packed lunches while riding.
